Our History

The Reflexology Association of New Jersey is a non-profit organization, founded in 1997 by three New Jersey reflexologists. Pending massage legislation made it necessary to find, contact and query reflexologists in NJ. The Massage, Bodywork and Somatic Therapists Law was passed in 1999. It is a titlement law that certifies qualified practitioners, if they choose to become certified. Reflexologists will be exempt from this law and can continue to practice as they do now without state certification.

Our Mission

The mission of the Reflexology Association of New Jersey is to advance and support the profession of reflexology and its practitioners in all its aspects.

Our Goals

To achieve this mission, RANJ's goals are to:

  • Help strengthen the profession of reflexology through an independent organization that is open to all reflexologists in the state of New Jersey.
  • Develop and disseminate knowledge and information about reflexology to the public.
  • Safeguard our right to practice as a separate discipline through legislative activity.
